One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child. - Carl Jung

English Language Arts

English is a vital tool for effective and confident communication. Our goal is to produce students capable of transferring English skills, enabling them to function independently and make real-world connections. The English Language Arts program, therefore emphasizes competence in the four communicative skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. After developing a strong foundation in these areas, students will be encouraged to utilize language, fostering better communication skills. Through these, our students will be able to use their language based critical thinking and problem-solving skills to enhance their adaptability to an ever-changing world as well as using their language skills to affect positive change and growth in their communities.

Technology

We believe that students should be prepared for a future where technology is of increasing importance. Students need to be comfortable working in this type of world and need to have the skills to allow them to use new technologies with purpose and flair. This will allow them to make careers in this area if they wish or use the skills they have acquired to assist them in their chosen careers. It is the aim of technology studies at ISM that all students will become competent users of computer-based technologies and be able to enjoy the logical structure of various programming languages as well as the creative opportunities offered with the use of design software.
